Teacher
Mia teaches a variety of styles: contemporary forms, modern technique, jazz, musical theater, and improvisational skills. She has taught all skill levels and age ranges from beginner to pre-professional. During her professional teaching experience she has served as a rotating instructor for the Hawkinsdance Contemporary Forms Company Classes in which she taught phrase-work, improvisation, and contemporary technique. In November 2020 she had the honorable opportunity to teach the current dance majors at her alma mater in their most advanced jazz class.
During her time in Milwaukee, Mia has served as staff for many studios in the area as well as in Madison, Wisconsin. In 2021, Mia became YPAD certified to help foster a more positive, healthier, and safer environment in the dance community.
Mia continues to choreograph and teach for studios across the country.
Teaching dance is one of Mia’s ultimate passions in life as a dancer and creator. In her teachings she emphasizes the importance of training in many styles to cultivate fearless, adaptable, and highly knowledgable dancers who are ready for anything in their dance careers and future pursuits.
